Tyrone and Kerry clash in round four of the Allianz Football League
Tyrone and Kerry lock horns in Division One of the Allianz Football League this afternoon, with throw-in scheduled for 1.45pm.
The Tyrone boss will be seeking a massive improvement from his charges after a poor showing in Castlebar last Sunday when they suffered a two-point loss to Mayo. The winning margin failed to reflect the dominance of the home team with Ciaran Daly’s second half goal taking the bad look off the scoreboard for the Red Hands who kicked 11 wides throughout the contest.
By half-time, Kerry had turned a two-point deficit into a commanding five-point lead with David Clifford , Paudie Clifford and Sean O’Shea all on target. However, this season’s renewal will be the last played under the current format with the group phase of the Championship abolished in favour of a new qualifier-style series.
The eight provincial finalists would be drawn at home against one of the other eight teams with the winners progressing to round 2A. Those teams would face off with the winners going through to the last eight.
