Tyson Fury is one of the biggest names in boxing - but victory over Oleksandr Usyk could catapult to a new level of stardom
He is little more than half an hour away from becoming the first man in 25 years who can, without dispute, call himself the best heavyweight in the world. He is primed to be Britain's richest sportsperson thanks to an £80million payday which will rank him among the highest-earning athletes on the planet.
Or down deserted paths while walking his dog alone for fear the Rottweiler's jaws will land him in court. "It's very complicated. When you're in my position, everybody is hunting you down, wanting a few quid off you, so I go where nobody else is. Everyone wants to be famous for five minutes until they've done it. It's a curse, for sure. People are always sold a dream of being rich and famous but it's probably not true when you finally get there.
"People have no respect when it comes to someone they know on telly or whatever, they're straight over. It's horrible and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. If you can earn plenty of money but not to be famous, I think you're onto a winner." That is not a luxury afforded to Fury ahead of boxing's biggest heavyweight fight since Lennox Lewis stopped Mike Tyson more than 20 years ago.
