World heavyweight champion Fury was born to be a fighter, according to his father, and now must face the man after whom he was named in 'Iron Mike' tonight
Tyson Fury's entire life will come full circle this weekend as he stands across the ring from the legend after whom he was named; Mike Tyson.
UFC legend Conor McGregor has touched down in the Kingdom to watch the fight, and in his pre-fight analysis noted that the otherwise relatively uncompetitive fight adds a new emotional element when you factor in the MMA fighter's corner. Born premature and struggling to stay alive, Fury was named after the world champion of the time Mike Tyson back in August of 1988.
The elder Fury did attempt to insert himself into proceedings by asking his idol for a fight at Thursday's press conference. But even at the height of his hysterics, he admitted that he doesn't know if he can win the fight, just that he is interested in the challenge and in proving he is a "fighting man".
