Orlando lands marquee U.S. Olympics event for 2024
Downtown Orlando will be the stage for the 2024 U.S. Olympics Team Trials — Marathon event.
The trials will be part of the U.S. team's journey to the Paris 2024 Olympics with the top three finishers in men's and women's making the trip. The event has the potential to generate $10 million-$12 million in economic impact, draw 100,000 spectators and create 10,000 hotel room sales, executives with the Greater Orlando Sports Commission told. In addition, there's opportunity for the region to welcome ancillary sports events and conventions that may use the games as a draw for attendees.
