The U.S. announced a deal with the EU Friday to boost its supply of liquefied natural gas to the bloc as it seeks to reduce its dependence on Russian gas amid its ongoing invasion of Ukraine.The U.S. will supply an “additional 15 billion cubic meters of liquefied natural gas this year, ” Biden said Friday, on the third day of a trip to Europe to meet EU, NATO and G7 leaders.
The move is also intended to “accelerate” a move the clean energy and the adoption of energy efficiency measures, Biden added.
