but, according to Sonnen, it really doesn’t matter who the opponent is as fight fans will tune in simply to see ‘The Problem Child’ in a new sport.
‘The American Gangster’ believes only a handful of fighters in history have had that type of pulling power and backed Jake to join the exclusive group of stars in 2023. “Jake Paul’s debut in the PFL, meaning his debut in MMA, does it matter who his opponent is? It’s a really interesting question,” Sonnen said on his“I mean, for a guy to be powerful enough, for a guy to be interesting and an attraction enough that his opponent does not matter. Guys, it’s so incredibly rare.
“They say over the history of combat sports, that it’s only happened twice, Oscar De La Hoya and Mike Tyson. Now that list would need [to be] amended. “You would need to put Floyd Mayweather on that list and you would need to put Conor McGregor on that list, but that’s rare.
