Referee Conor Curran issued four red cards in injury-time after a series of fights broke out

Kilcoo manager Karl Lacey said he believes teams are “targeting” his side after the incident at the end of their 11-point win over Clonduff.

Goals in each half from Jerome Johnston and Sean Og McCusker gave Kilcoo a comfortable 2-15 to 1-7 win with Stephen McConville scoring Clonduff’s goal. “The main thing for us was to just stay controlled, wait for the final whistle to go and get the boys regrouped and calm the emotions down a little bit.”

“That was my initial thoughts when I seen it. I just thought it was a bad tackle by Niall, a mistimed tackle by him, he definitely didn’t go with the intention of striking so we will look at it on tape and take it from there.”
