🔴 A couple from Wales, inspired by Brexit, started a new life in a renovated cave in southern Spain. They bought a second cave and plan to make it their new home.

Not content with the three-bedroom home etched out of rock, they have now bought a second cave – for €29,000 – to give themselves more space. They expect to spend another €70,000 doing the place up. This is real Spain.The Evanses are typical of a growing number of Britons who are becoming cave dwellers in Spain.The advantage of living in the caves is that the temperature inside does not vary much between 16C and 22C so they are cool in summer and warm in winter.
Sean Lummis, an estate agent whose company Spanish Inland Properties specialises in selling caves, said Britons are buying cave homes in droves despite the challenges created by Brexit.
