Brits will be treated to warmer conditions and sunnier skies for today and the coming days
Many parts of the country should expect to see 'longer periods of sunshine' this week as conditions begin to settle. Latest forecasts from the Met Office say the north west will see 'mostly dry' conditions today along with a mix of cloud, light winds and 'some warm spells of sunshine'.
Temperatures will reach around 20C in some parts. It marks the start of much more pleasant period, experts reckon. Showers are expected to hold off until the weekend at least. The Met Office said of the north west today: "Fairly cloudy at first, though mostly dry. A fine day unfolding with variable amounts of cloud and light winds, leading to some warm spells of sunshine. Perhaps some longer periods of sunshine developing into the evening. Maximum temperature 20C."There will be 'plenty of sunshine' as we get into the evening, with dry conditions into Thursday morning. Temperatures are expected to drop to around 8C.
Conditions will similar, with sunny spells scattered throughout the day. Temperatures will reach around 13C by 8am before reaching 16C by lunchtime.
