Friday was the hottest day of the year so far, with almost 24C in London. However, UK temperatures are forecast to drop to about 17C on Tuesday before a 'cooler, cloudier and breezier picture' takes hold at the end of the week.
Temperatures are set to gradually fall this week after many across Britain enjoyed a sunny Easter that included the hottest day of the year.
Easter Monday was set to be bright but cooler than previous days, with peaks between 18C and 19C forecast in the South East.Image:- 23.4C - was recorded at St James's Park in London.Saturday's high was 21.2C in Cardiff, and a slightly cooler max of 20.2C was reached in Northolt, west London on Easter Sunday.
