Updates from John Sparks in eastern Ukraine and Dominic Waghorn in MoscowThe Russian-installed chief of the southern occupied Ukrainian region of Kherson on Tuesday said some civilians would be evacuated, citing what he said was the risk of an attack by Kyiv's forces.
In March, he was sentenced to nine years in a separate case on charges of embezzling money that he and his foundation raised over the years and of insulting a judge during a previous trial.His first appeal was rejected in May.In response, Mr Putin's government unleashed a sweeping crackdown on his organisation, associates and supporters.
A German television satire magazine had first reported that Schoenbohm could have had contacts with people involved with Russian security services through the"Cyber Security Council of Germany" association which he co-founded - and some outlets doubt the accuracy of the research. "The most important thing we can do is deliver on what allies have promised, to step up and deliver even more air defence systems," he said.
"The leaders discussed their deep concern at Russia's recent barbaric attacks on civilian areas in Ukraine. Professor Clarke, former director-general of the Royal United Services Institute , said:"The Ukrainians have conducted a complete news blackout on what is happening in the Kherson oblast because the Russians are holding a line between Snihurivka and Mylove, and that line they have been holding onto for over a week now as Ukraine moves south.
Showing footage of their release, Professor Clarke said:"These women are all coming out, some of them are in combats, they might have been given those combats, but they are walking in line – they are coming out they are almost marching.
