Now the White House has said the leaders also discussed their"serious concerns about Russia's brutal tactics in Ukraine, including its attacks on civilians".
The owner of steel group TMK is currently facing British and European Union sanctions, which were imposed on Russian oligarchs over Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. They said this is likely why Russia's assault appears to be clumsy and disorganised, and failing to meet its objectives.
