The city is located next to the Kakhovka dam and reservoir, with TASS further saying up to 100 people are trapped and in need of evacuation.At least seven people are missing after waters from the destroyed Kakhovka dam flooded nearby areas, Russia's TASS state news agency has reported. People told us of how Russian troops were bombing the beaches as they tried to flee and tried to steal their boats.
In its latest intelligence update, the UK defence ministry said the"entire eastern portion" of the dam and"much of the hydro and utilities infrastructure was swept away". She explained that people who live in the second and third floors of buildings have woken up this morning to find the water has risen that high.
Speaking to Sky News, Olena Halushka said the situation was"very critical" and water levels were going to keep rising for the next few days.
