Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin was buried in St Petersburg, as the funeral for renowned Ukrainian pilot 'Juice' was held in Kyiv; Russia has been 'degrading' its elite units by relying on them for critical defensive and offensive operations; as Ukraine says it's taken a key town.
Funerals for Prigozhin and senior Wagner official
Three people were killed in the incident near Krasnoye Pole, Chelyabinsk region, said governor Alexey Teksler. Evacuations have been ongoing since 9 August, but"not everyone is ready to leave despite the intensity of the attacks," said Roman Semenukha, of the Kharkiv oblast military administration, reported in Ukrainska Pravda.
Dozens of people paid their respects to Andriy Pilshchykov, one of three pilots who died in a midair collision between two warplanes on a combat mission last week. The increasing frequency of their deployment in both offensive and defensive operations has"likely degraded" Russia's elite infantry, said the US thinktank.
