The two leaders discussed the activities of illegal armed groups financed by Russia during the 'technical stopover'
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held an "unscheduled" meeting with Sudanese army general Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who seized power in the country in 2021.
During the meeting earlier today at the airport the two leaders discussed common security challenges, namely the activities of illegal armed groups financed by Russia.President Zelenskyy also expressed thanks to the North African country for the “consistent support” given to Ukraine at the meeting that Ukrainian Ambassador to Ireland Larysa Gerasko also attended.
General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who is head of the Sudanese army, seized power in the country in 2021.
