Local company gets contract to dredge Big and Little Fishweir creeks
A local commercial diving and marine construction company will be responsible for dredging the Big Fishweir and Little Fishwier creeks, an $8.2 million project that has been discussed for more than a decade.
The creeks — tributaries of the St. Johns River — are located near downtown, with Big Fishweir Creek entering the St. Johns River just north of the Ortega River.
