The biggest development this spring was the performance of Jack Freeman and true freshman Demetrius “Pancake” Hunter at center. Center was such a big question mark following the graduation of Kody Russey that Holgorsen contemplated using an available scholarship to pick up a player in the transfer portal. That is no longer the case.
“The best thing that happened to Jack Freeman was Kody Russey,” Holgorsen said. “Kody taught Jack how to be a leader, how to be professional. This is a totally different Jack Freeman that has ever been here.”
