The force confirmed nobody was injured during the operation
Northamptonshire Police have provided an update on the status of a man after a major road in Northampton was closed for almost 48 hours last week over fears for his welfare.
A spokesperson from the Force told Northants Live this morning that the man in question is now safe and receiving support and that nobody was injured during the operation.Officers were first called to the scene on Abington Avenue at 9pm on Thursday evening. A road block was quickly set up between the junction of Roe Road to the junction of Abington Grove.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area but traffic remained heavy around the Abington area as cars tried to navigate diversions in Friday rush hour and weekend traffic.
