Apple Intelligence, which was released in December, was switched on by default for many users after they downloaded the latest software update for their iPhone
iPhone users have been alerted about a potentially "dangerous" feature that has been automatically activated on certain Apple devices following a software update. The introduction of iOS 18.3 means that artificial intelligence features on iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 Pro/Max models are now default settings, whereas previously, users had to manually enable these.
However, there have been instances where Notification Summaries has misinterpreted notifications, resulting in misleading or entirely incorrect news headlines. Petros Iosifidis, a professor in media policy at City University in London, expressed to BBC News that while there could be potential benefits to this type of feature, " the technology is not there yet and there is a real danger of spreading disinformation.
It offers a range of AI-enhanced features designed to make daily iPhone use more efficient, as per Apple's statement.
