“Patriot is an extremely complex and expensive system to operate. Each round of Patriot is between $3 [million] and $4 million apiece,” retired Rear Adm. Mark Montgomery, a defense analyst with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told Voice of America. The U.S. has no plans to deploy “NATO personnel” to Ukraine.
