Exclusive: A war of words has broken out over the GoFundMe cash raised after the infamous attack on Talbot Street
Assault victim Stephen Termini claims his son won’t give him any of the funds that were raised by the public in the wake of the attack that shocked the nation..
But speaking to this paper Mr Termini, who has now returned to his hometown of Buffalo, New York, sensationally claimed his son Mike “stole” the money for himself - and is now refusing to answer his phone calls. It also featured a statement from Mr Termini’s sister Michelle which said “we feel so very helpless as none of us can afford the trip to be with him in his time of dire need.”
“I’m just taking care of it as responsibly as I know how. I’m 26 and I’ve never dealt with any of this before. I’m just trying to do the right thing,” he said. “So because of that now I’ve got to go back to work. I had time I was taking to get my strength and all that back. I’ve got to go back to work next week just to make money to buy food and the basics. It’s pretty bad,” he said.
“I wanted to get my brother and I over there and make sure we were there to be able to take care of him and figure it out as we go.
