The 14th-ranked Utes’ 63-21 win over the Buffaloes went as expected. One-sided, over before halftime, a formality in securing the program’sUtah opened the day with its hopes of getting back to the Pac-12 championship game still alive. It got 50% of the outside help it needed, and will now wait to see if it gets the other 50%.
Utah scored touchdowns on six of its eight first-half drives, overwhelming an overmatched Colorado defense without having to deep into the playbook. A 41-yard catch-and-run by Thomas Yassmin, which included hurdling a defender, and a pair of touchdown passes from Cam Rising to Money Parks and Dalton Kincaid, respectively, put the Utes ahead, 42-0, at halftime.
