POLICE have launched an investigation after thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused at a derelict church in Johnstone.
Officers attended The Church of the Latter-day Saints, in Campbell Street, at around 1pm on Wednesday, May 10.Police said the total cost of damage, which has been described as"extensive", is still to be confirmed but is estimated to be a four-figure sum.Enquiries are ongoing and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
