VAR almost had another blunder which ended with the officials clashing at Stockley Park as they looked to determine whether or not Burnley should be awarded a goal
The VAR officials were 'arguing with each other' as they attempted to work out whether Jay Rodriguez was onside during Bournemouth's win over Burnley.
He took issue with the lines, which didn't appear to be drawn on straight whilst they measured Rodriguez's position from the wrong part of his body. The check took over five minutes, leading to chants of "this is embarrassing" from the crowd, who weren't aware of the situation in the VAR room.Clinton Morrison, who was covering the game on Soccer Saturday, gave a running commentary of the incident with footage of the game and those doing VAR.
The former Premier League striker then added: ”David Coote’s still in there now pointing at the screen saying, can you draw the line straight. And they’re not doing it. It’s too long.”
