Vehicle is hit by Coaster train after driver takes wrong turn; no injuries reported [Breaking]

No injuries were reported early Tuesday after a vehicle was struck by a train in Sorrento Valley after a driver took a wrong turn and ended up on the tracks.

The collision was reported around 12:30 a.m., when the unidentified driver turned onto the Coaster tracks on Sorrento Valley Road near Sorrento Valley Boulevard. Sheriff’s deputies reported that the driver was able to get out of the vehicle before the northbound Coaster struck it. No injuries were reported by the driver or by passengers on the train.
