Pauw led Ireland to their first-ever Fifa Women’s World Cup this summer.
VERA PAUW’S FOUR years as manager of the Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team came to an end on Tuesday night as the FAI board decided not to offer her a new contract.
Pauw’s contract runs out at the end of this month, leaving Ireland on the hunt for a successor with less than four weeks before the team’s next competitive game — a historic first appearance at the Aviva Stadium when they host Northern Ireland in the Uefa Nations League on 23 September. FAI CEO Jonathan Hill commented: “On behalf of the Football Association of Ireland, we would like to thank Vera for her hard work and commitment over the past four years and wish her well for the future.
