Verizon said it will waive calling charges to and from Ukraine from Friday through March 10

Verizon Communications Inc. said it will waive calling charges to and from Ukraine from Friday through March 10. All calls made from Verizon residential landlines and consumer or business wireless phones to Ukraine will be free, the company said. Calls within Ukraine also will be free, the company said. Verizon customers with international coverage plans can call Ukraine without using any allotted minutes, the company said.“During these challenging times, customers need to stay connected with loved ones in Ukraine,” said Manon Brouillette, Verizon’s consumer group chief executive.
