Jeremy Hunt has vowed to bring “stability” to the country after the recent mini-Budget sparked weeks of chaos in the financial markets
In an interview with Sky News this morning, Mr Hunt admitted “there were mistakes” with last month’s mini-budget, pointing specifically to the move to cut the 45p tax rate for the country’s highest earners.
Mr Hunt said he was prepared to make “difficult decisions” to bring “stability” to the country’s economy. It comes after Liz Truss’ announcement yesterday that the Government would U-turn on its plans not to increase corporation tax next year.
