A victim who lay injured in the street after an assault in broad daylight had been stabbed, police have now confirmed.
Witnesses reported the chaotic scenes as horrified onlookers rushed to help the victim, whose age has not yet been confirmed, as he lay injured in the street following the section 18 assault.In an update from Greater Manchester Police, it has been confirmed that his injuries were sustained as a result of a bladed article being used.
Another woman said several police cars and an ambulance descended on the street following the incident, at around 3pm on Sunday. She said the are had been plagued by anti-social behaviour in recent years and that there had been ‘trouble’ in recent days. “I don’t know what brings them here but they come in droves. I go inside and just shut my door. You can’t afford to get involved in anything for your own safety."
