touched down at JFK airport in New York this week in an outfit that screamed business travel. No comfy tracksuit bottoms or trainers for VB, who sailed out of the terminal in a polished all-black look.
The designer wore a pair of structured black wide-leg trousers from her own brand, with an extra long leg that concealed the shoe and an exaggerated seam down the front of the leg. She wore a leather biker jacket , with ’80s-inspired strong shoulders, a wide lapel and structured panelling at the back.
Beckham also meant business with her accessories: an elegant silver wristwatch, an oversized croc-effect shoulder bag , and a pair of oversized statement sunglasses ideal for a red-eye flight. Victoria almost exclusively wears her own designs, so even a flight is an important opportunity for her to promote the mood of her collections. Since she landed a spot on the Paris Fashion Week schedule,’s fashion critic Anders Christian Madsen notes that there has been more precision and tailoring to her work, and forshe continued to explore the art of dressing up.
