Aston Villa are allowing talented youngster Ben Chrisene to leave on loan to Kilmarnock. AVFC manager Steven Gerrard believes a spell in the SPFL will help the 18-year-old left-back who he has closely monitored this summer. More from greggevans40
Scottish PremiershipChrisene, an FA Youth Cup winner with Villa in 2021, was taken on the pre-season tour to Australia and featured in some of the friendly games.
Villa have high hopes for the teenager and will closely monitor his progress under Kilmarnock manager, Derek McInnes, who has a close relationship with Gerrard. The plan is for Chrisene to get regular first-team minutes and push for senior involvement at Villa in 2023-24.
