Vodafone plans to cut 11,000 jobs globally as CEO criticises its performance.

Its new group chief executive, Margherita Della Valle, has criticised the firm's performance as 'not good enough' as it announced full-year results.Advertisement

"We will reallocate resources to deliver the quality service our customers expect and drive further growth from the unique position of Vodafone Business," she added.She was speaking as Vodafone reported a 1.3% drop in full-year earnings to stg£12.8 billion .However this was offset by continued growth in Ireland, Portugal, Greece, Romania, the Czech Republic, Albania, the UK and Africa.

Its mobile contract customer base here increased by 64,000 and it saw its broadband base also grow by 14,000.
