The autumn/winter 2023 runways brought plenty of new bags to the fore. Accessories of every shape and size complemented the pared-back clothes that defined the collections this season, with a focus on timelessness and practicality. At Miu Miu, the cast held buttery leather bags complete with dangling key charms, and at Ferragamo, models nonchalantly gripped the house’s capacious Hug bag. Cos’s new Fold bag is another “tuckable” bag, which can also be carried with its handle or worn as a crossbody. While supple bags were ubiquitous this season, there was also a range of hard-wearing accessories that were made with form and function in mind.
