Southwest defeated Medina Valley in three-straight games.SAN ANTONIO — Gaining a spot of redemption and a lot of confidence, Southwest defeated Medina Valley 25-20, 25-22, 25-22 in a District 28-5A volleyball match Tuesday.
The Panthers looked to extend the match in the third set when they tied it at 18 on a 9-2 run. Dragons coach Catherine Cortez called her first timeout of the match during that spree. “She’s always trusted us to figure it, work as a team and just get the ball in play,” Bartlett said of Cortez. “When she needs to say a word, she’ll say a word, and we’ll get it done.”
