Each week, publications from the Southern California News Group’s 11 properties select the Athletes of the Week for their respective region.Click on the newspaper links below the athlete’s name to read about their performance from last week, and then vote for who you think deserves the top honor.
Readers are allowed to vote multiple times. Voting ends at Friday at noon, but final totals aren’t always immediately reflected due to processing.Jason Crowe Jr., Lynwood:Collin Haugh, Dana HillsHe scored 69 points over three games. Two of the games were wins that clinched the Sea View League championship. Haugh, a 5-foot-11 guard, scored 24 points in a league win over El Toro, 24 in a league win over Mission Viejo and 21 in a league loss to Aliso Niguel.
