TCU holds a 21-3 lead over Michigan in the College Football Playoff semifinal game at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl midway thought the second quarter.
In their first play from the goal line, the Wolverines fumbled a handoff. The ball bounced into the end zone where it was recovered by TCU for a touchback. Michigan — trailing by 14 — faced it's largest deficit of the season. Twice, the Wolverines trailed by 7. First, on a 3rd and 7 Duggan scrambled up the middle for 12 yards to the Michigan 47. He followed that with a 21-yard completion to Jordan Hudson. Two plays later Derius Davis kept the drive alive with a 7 yard catch and run, breaking a tackle in the right flat for a first down at the UM 11. On second down at the 5, Duggan called his own number again and ran to the 2, then sneaked for one yard and the first down. Duggan followed that by running through Michigan DB Rod Moore at the goal line.
