The trailer for the upcoming Walker spinoff Walker: Independence finds Arrow star Katherine McNamara looking for justice. Walker: Independence is a prequel series to the CW's 2021 show Walker, which stars Supernatural alum Jared Padalecki in the titular role of Cordell Walker, Texas Ranger. The spinoff was announced in May 2022 and is set to premiere on October 6. Unlike Walker, which takes place in modern-day Texas, Walker: Independence is set in the late 1800s.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Today, the CW released the first trailer for Walker: Independence, entitled Justice. The trailer finds Abby seeking revenge on the man who killed her husband, and her journey leads her to the small town of Independence, Texas. With saloon brawls, masked bandits, and a new sheriff in town, the trailer is reminiscent of old Western films.
