Apple recall wall plug adaptors sold in Ireland due to risk of electrical shock
Apple have issued an urgent recall of AC wall plug adaptors sold in Ireland due to a risk of electrical shock. They are mainly used in Ireland, the UK and Singapore.
In a blog post, the company said there is a chance the plugs can break and cause a risk of electrical shock if touched. A spokesperson said: "An affected three-prong plug adaptor is white, with no letters on the inside slot where it attaches to the main Apple power adaptor. “Because customer safety is a top priority, Apple is asking customers to stop using affected plug adaptors.”They said USB power adaptors are not affected and customers can exchange their plug for a new one free of charge. Our Irish Mirror Sports Page - which brings you all your Irish and UK sports news - can be found here. The Irish Mirror Twitter account is @IrishMirror while our sports page is @MirrorSportIE.
