The new policy will also offer “travel support” for workers and dependents covered under their health care plans so they can access services that are not available within 100 miles of their locations, Donna Morris, the retailer’s chief people officer, said in the memo. Abortion is also banned in Texas, which is Walmart’s biggest state by store count and employees. The retailer’s 178,594 employees in Texas operate 593 stores and other operations such as distribution centers.or implement bans since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
