Some of the drains 'aren't coping'
Scottish Water said flooding around Glasgow brought on by the downpour was a risk and urged residents to be prepared.
As previously reported, the city was under a yellow weather warning from 4pm on Monday to 6am on Tuesday after the Met Office warned of disruption due to the heavy rain. The bad weather has since continued putting further pressure on the drainage which, Scottish Water warns, could lead to problems. It said:"Due to current flash flooding, some of the road side drains aren't coping with the amount of water going into them. For information on how to handle flooding, visit the Scottish Water website.
