People have been warned to be on the lookout for a fake version of Ozempic - a popular diabetes drug that went viral on social media as a way to lose weight - that is being sold in Europe.
Ozempic is weekly injectable medication that has been used for years as a treatment for diabetes and has recently been prescribed for obesity in Ireland, with a number of celebs in Hollywood attributing significant weight loss to the drug. A recent statement reads: "The HPRA confirms that pre-filled pens falsely labelled as the diabetes medicine Ozempic have not been detected on the Irish market at this time.
