Warning to Glasgow drivers ahead of works in Mount Florida set to take 6 weeks 🚧

A warning has been issued to drivers ahead of crucial sewer repairs in the Southside set to disrupt traffic for weeks.

Prospecthill Road between Cathcart Road and Mount Florida Railway Station will be reduced to one lane while Scottish Water carries out the essential repairs. Temporary traffic signals will be in place for almost 6 weeks, starting at 8am on Monday, April 17 until 3.30pm on Sunday, May 21. In addition, the section of Prospecthill Road will close entirely at two points during the works: from 9am on Saturday, April 29 until 7am on Monday, May 1 and again from 9am on Saturday, May 6 until 7am on Monday, May 8.

Diversions will be in place via Cathcart Road and Battlefield Road, also Cathcart Road, Queen's Drive, and Grange Road.
