The Warriors went 3-2 on the road trip. They’ll play the Brooklyn Nets at Chase Center on Sunday.
CLEVELAND — Friday’s matchup against the Cavaliers had all the makings to be a throwaway game for the Warriors.
But the undermanned Warriors defeated the odds — and the Cavaliers — pulling out a 120-114 win to bring Golden State back to .500 on the season. The Cavaliers, who’ve posted the second-best defensive rating in the league this season, went on an 8-0 run in the fourth to trim the Warriors’ lead to four with about two minutes remaining.
“We didn’t exactly slam the door shut but we closed it gently,” Kerr said. “We got it done, we had some turnovers down the stretch but we also made some big, big breaks and got some big stops. That alone was tremendous.”
