John Giesy, a professor of environmental toxicology who helps lead wastewater research for the Global Institute of Water Security at the university, said the data shows the presence of SARS-COV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is back to about where it was eight weeks ago.

Giesy said the viral load peaked about two weeks ago at about 340,000 particles per 100 mL and overall wastewater viral RNA load is around 140,000 particles per 100 mL in the most recent reading.Overall viral load in Saskatoon wastewater.
