Gov. Sarah Sanders (R-AR) is keeping tight-lipped about her thoughts on the 2024 presidential election, despite Fox News host Shannon Bream's best efforts.
"I love the president," she explained to Bream."I have a great relationship with him. I know our country would be infinitely better off if he was in office right now instead of Joe Biden."Her goal at the moment, she said, is"focusing here in Arkansas and doing what we can to empower the people of this state and make sure that I am delivering on the promises that I laid out over the course of the last two years.
Staying on 2024, Bream then asked Sanders if she is waiting to see what other Republicans enter the race before making a decision. Sanders once again stated that her priorities are in Arkansas, even noting that she'd like to serve eight years as governor. The host also mentioned speculation around Sanders's political future, citing a piece which suggested possible Trump-Sanders and DeSantis-Sanders tickets in 2024. This did not illicit a new response from the former White House press secretary, who once again repeated her intention to focus on Arkansas for the foreseeable future.Just after being sworn into office last week, Sanders signed an executive order banning the teaching of Critical Race Theory in Arkansas schools.
