Members of the American Bar Association and outside witnesses called by lawmakers are expected to testify over Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on Thursday.
The American Bar Association has deemed Jackson as"Well Qualified" for the role of succeeding retiring Justice Stephen Breyer.
While she is not scheduled to testify on Thursday, she plans to be back on Capitol Hill and continue meetings with senators in an effort to gain better bipartisan support before a full vote in the Senate.Democrats have praised Jackson's career experience during the past two days of interviews, while Republicans have been critical and aggressively inquisitive of specific cases they believe where she appeared soft on crime as a federal trial court judge and her past role as a public defender.
