For some, Texas is the heart of gravel cycling. Pine forests and endless desert roads make the state uniquely good for the style. So when the Netherlands-based Ride Beyond Crew got the chance to compete in the Gravel Locos race in the rural town of Hico, they decided to make a journey out of it.
They’d spend two weeks in Texas, dedicating one week to Hico for the race, and the second week to traveling towards the Mexican border for some more adventurous rides.follows the crew on their last few days in the Lone Star state, as they explore Big Bend National Park and the borderlands.
