The irony of former President BarackObama’s visit to the White House Tuesday night lies in its timing and display of how unpopular President JoeBiden is, according to dcexaminer political and investigative reporter sarahcwestwood.
Obama visited the White House Tuesday night to tout the 2010 Affordable Care Act and, while there, he suggested Democrats have a story to tell and just need to tell it heading into the midterm elections.Westwood told Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo on Wednesday that Obama’s White House visit and suggestion of Democrats having a story to tell is not only ironic but untrue.
When asked by Bartiromo about the notable fanfare of Obama that overshadowed Biden, Westwood noted that Biden’s lack of popularity will hurt Democrats heading into the midterm elections.“People have assessed him as a relatively incompetent president ever since the Afghanistan debacle,” Westwood said.
