A thermal camera has been used to reveal the horrific extent of the Australian wildfires that are currently destroying large parts of the country. The video, which was shared by The Guardian on their Twitter page, shows just how much damage the fires in the East Gippsland area of Victoria did on 31 December.
It can take a second or two to actually understand what you are seeing, but once you do, it becomes extremely harrowing.It takes a few seconds but when you see it the sheer enormity of what you're looking at is hard to comprehend.
