There may be localized flooding in low-lying areas as a result of the weather

The Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservation Authority has issued a flood outlook statement for the Sault and Prince Township areas.

The statement was issued as a result of the potential for 10 to 15 mm of rain and the risk of a thunderstorm as well over the next 24 hours. The Conservation Authority says local rivers, creeks, and streams are flowing at normal levels while water levels and flows across the watershed are trending downward. .

Flood control channels owned and maintained by the Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservation Authority are currently flowing at normal levels though the flood control channels will experience a rise in water levels.
